Tough Luck for Houston on Game 3
The Houston Rockets dropped Game 3 of their first-round playoff series to the Golden State Warriors, 104-93, at Chase Center on Saturday night.
Despite the Warriors missing star forward Jimmy Butler due to injury, Steph Curry took control, finishing with 36 points and passing Tony Parker for 10th on the NBA's all-time playoff scoring list.
The Rockets started strong, leading at halftime and shooting well from three, but struggled to maintain offensive rhythm in the second half.
The Warriors now lead the series 2-1, with Game 4 set for Monday in San Francisco.
Now What?
Game 4 tips off Monday night at Chase Center, with the Rockets aiming to even the series at 2-2.
Houston will need more consistent offense, especially from VanVleet and Jalen Green, who was held in check after his Game 2 explosion.
The Rockets’ defense must find answers for Steph Curry, who continues to deliver historic playoff performances.
Jimmy Butler’s status for the next game remains uncertain, which could impact Golden State’s rotation and Houston’s game plan.
Expect adjustments from coach Ime Udoka as Houston looks to regain momentum and avoid falling into a 3-1 series deficit.
